Each scholarship consists of $2,500 per year for a total of $10,000 over a four year period or $ 5,000 for those students attending a Community College. Students receiving a scholarship must maintain a satisfactory level of academic achievement and personal conduct for each year in order to retain the scholarship.
CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY TO APPLY:
Permanent resident of the City of Lakewood, Ohio.
Member of a 2023 graduating class of an accredited high school.
Citizen of the United States.
Overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Submit an official transcript of grades
Submit test scores for A.C.T. or S.A.T.
Applicant must:
Demonstrate leadership and service within the community.
Show qualities indicative of good citizenship, honesty and sound moral character.
Substantiate a financial need.
FINALISTS:
Required to participate in an interview by the committee.
Present proof of enrollment in an accredited college or university upon acceptance of scholarship
Provide a F.A.F.S.A. determination prior to being interviewed.

Let’s do this again. Put it on your calendar and join us.With the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive over, LCAC is already back in full swing to prepare for its Christmas Food Drive which will take place at the Lakewood Masonic Temple, at 15300 Detroit Ave., over two days.
On Dec. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., non-perishable food donations will be sorted. Later that evening, LCAC members and volunteers will gather from 6-7:30 p.m. to bag non-perishable food.
On Dec. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon, LCAC members and volunteers will bag perishable food and then hand deliver both non-perishable and perishable bags filled with food fixings to the community.
LCAC will need volunteers of all ages to sort food items, bag over 300 bags of food and deliver them to the community.
The event will be held regardless of the weather, so dress accordingly to stay warm and dry.
With the success of the Thanksgiving Food Drive and the number of volunteers that came to help, LCAC members hope for a similar success at its upcoming Christmas Food Drive over Dec. 15-16.
